Our engagement story…
It is very hard to surprise Briana. She has a way of figuring things out, so it was even more exciting that she was so surprised. She arrived in Traverse City on Thursday evening, November 6th. Billy’s sister Jessica asked Briana if she would meet them at a condo they were considering investing in together. When Briana arrived Billy met her at the door with a dozen roses. He took her hand and walked her upstairs where the room was lit up with candles. 
The weather outside was beautiful for November. He took her out on the deck and played the song “Give Me Forever.” They danced together under the stars and then he got down on his knee and asked her to share the rest of their life together. As he did that he signaled his sister via his cell phone and she plugged in the lights across the parking lot on a large hill. He and his Dad had cut out 2 foot by 2 foot letters out of wood that read, “Briana Murnahan will you marry me?” 
They were covered with over 1000 Christmas lights. When the hill lit up, that was Billy’s Dad’s signal to light a Grand Finale fireworks display that set off 39 fireworks lighting up the sky. The evening was beautiful. Briana stayed up the whole night and is still recovering from an unexpected weekend.
